Life story · 1965 — 2026

Death to life.

The true story of Kevin Lee Reiss. Not a brand deck. A second life, told in the open, so the first one is never wasted on someone still in the alley.

June 10, 1983

Afterlife

“On June 10th, 1983, in an alley behind the Thirsty Whale Tavern in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin, Kevin Lee Reiss bled to death. But the Creator operates with Kadash precision.”

Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin. Behind the Thirsty Whale Tavern. He names it without flinching: he bled to death, and the Creator brought him back with holy precision. From that night the rest of the life is downstream — recovery, ministry, business, music, family. AFTERLIFE is the title he gives the telling. Death to HIGH. Death to Chaim. Death to life.

The teenage vocalist — awards, scholarships, musicals, choirs — had already known a stage. After 1983 the stage changed. The voice stayed.

Forty years

Clean and sober-minded

The count is not a slogan. It is the spine of the resume. About forty years clean and sober-minded — RecoveryROCKS RETURNS, the DIEHARD Project for veterans, TRANSFORMED Recovery. He will tell it on nonprofit television. He will put it in a book. He will put it in a song.

Scott Pratt, who has walked with him more than fifteen years, put it this way: strip the fire and you still have decades clean and a rare gift for building. Keep the fire and you have REV ROCK.

The messenger

Called, not decorated.

In 2004 the bottom looked like a modern-day Job story. He went to California under the Ruach HaKodesh and lived with Dr. Nova Dean Pack, who told him Satan had not won — that he was gifted, anointed, called to evangelism, and would reach the nations.

LOVE, Inc. in 2003. THE END TIMES in 2007. Two years at Bread of Life in Fond du Lac — license, regional evangelism, multi-media. House Of Worship in July 2009 with Scott and Kim Pratt. Weekly fellowships. Food for the stomach, food for the soul. Modeled first after YAHshua, then after the original followers. Purity over polish.

Family

Family first

Seeing grandchildren and adult children is the number-one priority on every return to Wisconsin. ROCK and SAND Reiss carry ROCKSAND the Brand and ROCK-on-the-ROAD together. The public life is large. The private reason for the miles is small, and named: family.

Wisconsin made him. El Paso holds the present. The annual trip north is not a tour. It is grandchildren.
